Geocache at the Museum

We have had a geocache location the north side of the Museum for a few years and it has been visited many times.  The cache is a container that holds some small treasurers that are of a sentimental value, a log book and a pen or a pencil to record your visit to the box.  The cache at the Museum also  contains  folders with  information about the Museum.

Geocaching is like a treasure hunt.  Participants use a GPS receiver or a mobile device to to find the “geocaches” or “caches”.  There are over 5000 caches in the Detroit area marked by coordinates and caches are located worldwide. You can create an account and learn more about geocaching at geocaching.com.
